Niantic announced via G+ that Ingress 1.x is not compatible with iOS 12, the latest release of Apple’s Operating System for it’s flagship smartphone. As a result, Niantic promised to provide any agents who use iOS and registers by October 5th for the anomalies on October 20th access to the Ingress Prime Beta at least one week before the anomaly.

On September 7th Niantic announced that the 2nd Wave of invitees would be delayed up to two more weeks. This announcement followed their failure to hit the August 31st deadline announced on July 19th.
