This afternoon Global Community Manager Andrew Krug (RedSoloCup) addressed reports that Niantic was planning to end the successful Trusted Reporter program on Monday, August 26th:

So, there you have it. Niantic is NOT ending the Trusted Reporter program. Niantic is planning to release a new version of the program sometime late next week or the week after that at the latest. <sarcasm> Everybody familiar with Niantic release strategies is confident that they will hit this timeline. </sarcasm>

Conspicuously absent from Krug’s list of expendable replaceable roles is Global Community Manager. It’s uncertain whether he’ll continue to feel that way after TR Prime is rolled out.
