Niantic Disappoints
Methinks today is going to be a rough day around NiaOps. First Niantic failed to make the first jump for the current Ingress shards event last night, and now the Legendary Raid Hour with Mewtwo has been cancelled globally after it failed to start in the GMT+12 timezone.
Like they did with the global shards event, someone at Niantic kicked off the Legendary Raid Hour after they became alerted to the delay. However, since trainers had already exhausted their patience, and had gone home, Niantic reconsidered and decided to reschedule the event globally.
There is no word on when Niantic will reschedule the event.
That’s actually ridiculous, do you know how many people have bought boxes for this event? Booked time off work? And changed plans for the BIGGEST raid hour in Pokémon go history and you cancel it? You’ve done plenty in the past there was one last week what’s changed.

how could you screw up something you do on a weekly base

Thats not an extension. You can't extend something that didn't happen. Also everyone has long gone home rather than wait 1.5 hours in the dark. Please redo the raid hour at a later date fod us

Dude, the raids started at 7:20pm in New Zealand. Lots of people went home after being tired, hungry, and cold out.

I feel bad for the NZ and other folks, this is not a resolution to what happened. It's dark and cold there, most people would have bailed ages ago.

Is raid hour going to work for other timezones? Have you actually solved the issue?
This is utterly unacceptable, raid groups have gone home for the evening after waiting for an hour to see what would happen. Compensation in the form of raid passes needs to be added to all New Zealand accounts

No you haven’t!!!! The raids are still only going for a hour !!! So really we sat around in the cold for an hour for a 1 hour raid hour

No! Spawning them all now an hour and twenty minutes late does not make up for it. We’ve all gone home now you are only helping the spoofers. pic.twitter.com/DEegPdNTlV

Once again Niantic have failed the player base. You need to provide real compensation for those who made plans around your timetable.

So disappointed! We were available at the advertised time and now miss out as we had other commitments

Absolutely fucking useless!!! Just cancel ours till tomorrow night!!! Most people have gone home!! I used gas to go and waste my time and now that I'm home it comes out! People have young kids and that's abit to late for them. You hopeless people!!!
